For the first time in a year & a half I missed a monthly photo diary, eek! So to compensate for being a bad blogger I’ve popped June & July together! Me and my partner moved into our own little house so not only have I been extra busy, but the homeware freak inside me has been in her absolute element adding pieces to make it special.
I bought these pretty Toulouse bedside tables to match my chest of drawers and I adore them, although I might eventually change the handles (I’ve got my eye on these rose quartz ones). I also picked up this blush pink clock from Laura Ashley (in the sale!), I love the vintage style with the rose gold details. Oh and you see those pink makeup items…there may be a makeup haul coming to the blog pretty soon *wink wink*
I made these Christening cupcakes for the cutest baby girl who I am now a Godmother to. I’m not sure why but I just adore the little ribbons on this cupcake design, it’s my favourite! I also created a new Instagram, called CatherineBakes, which is for all of my cake creations that I make to order as they don’t all get featured anywhere, check out if you fancy!
I finally tracked down the Too Faced Funfetti blush, which was part of their adorable Funfetti collection, that never fully made it to the UK. I know that you can now buy the palette exclusively here, which I’m having to restrain myself for splurging on, but for now this little Love Flush Blush will do. The baby pink heart shaped packaging is all kinds of adorable (umm Polly Pocket anyone?) and the blush itself has a sprinkling of pink, peach and soft lilac.
Now that I’ve moved homes, I finally have space for a dressing table and so I bought this gorgeous vintage style Parisian chair. with white wood and ivory cotton to go with one. It’s just so pretty and I can’t wait to put it with a dressing table (which I’ve had all sorts of problems with but that’s another story…)
Once I’d created these Beauty & The Beast themed cupcakes, I decided I wanted to make a Disney themed cupcake series and naturally Cinderella went straight to the top of my list. I adore the pretty powder blues and soft pinks in Cinderella and of course I had to include the glass slipper, the pumpkin carriage, her blue ballgown, ribbons from her mother’s dress and her little bluebird helpers.
Apologies that this photo diary seems to consist of cupcakes and blusher but I couldn’t not include this beaut from Ciate! They’re killing it recently with all of the pretty new makeup releases and I had to pick up one of their new blush & highlighting duos in the shade Pinch Me. It’s a lovely soft peach shade and swirled with the illuminator it gives the lovelist flush to the skin making you look super radiant and glowy.
A little selfie from June. I’m wearing Charlotte Tilbury Valentine lipstick which looks a bit more pink in real life than it’s coming across in this photo (full review here). Since my MAC Creme Cup lipstick ran out, it’s been my favourite. And my top is a Miss Selfridge number!
