With lots of pretty new products filling up my beauty drawers, I decided it was perfect timing for me to share a post about some of the newest and loveliest products to me, from ice cream swirled highlighters to bow embossed blushes!
First up is the Laura Geller Life Glows On Illuminating Palette* which contains three of the coveted Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminators, encased inside a pretty iridescent compact. I already adore Laura Geller’s Charming Pink illuminator so I know I love the formula, which glides on smoothly and doesn’t accentuate any skin texture. The shades in the palette are, Opal Crush; a cool iridescent pink, French Fizz; a shimmering gold, and Diamond Dust; a holographic champagne pink.
Another newbie from Laura Geller is the Dewdreamer Illuminating Drops*. Whilst they may look a little similar to other popular ones on the market, like Cover FX and Iconic London, they actually have a much thinner liquid formula, that once blended gives off such a lovely and natural dewy glow! The shades in the range are Ballerina, Gilded Honey, Diamond Dust, Opal Crush, which are already popular shades in Gelato Swirl form, so you can layer them up to create an extra shimmer.
A product I fell head over heels for is the YSL Mon Paris Couture Blush & Highlighter. Designed to look like the Mon Paris Couture perfume, it has special limited edition lilac packaging topped with a beautiful black satin bow. How gorgeous! Inside the blush is embossed with a cute bow design, and the product itself is a pretty pale pink, which is subtle but gives a lovely soft pink shimmer to the cheeks. I can totally picture Blair Waldorf sat at her dressing table using this!
Another new little gem is the Guerlain Rouge G Lipstick*. The idea with these is that you buy the lipstick and case separately, so you’re able mix and match and express your style through the array of different designs that the cases come in. I have the K Doll* case, which is a lovely pearly pink. What’s different about it though is that it has a unique shell design, which reveals a secret mirror that flips out once you unclasp the lipstick tube. I love this little feature, it’s so perfect for on the go!
An exciting new product from Too Faced is the Born This Way Multi-Use Sculpting Concealer*. It’s a newly revamped version of their classic Born This Way Concealer, with a full coverage but hydrating formula, in a supersized 15ml tube. I have the shade Porcelain which is unfortunately a little too dark for my skin tone, so I haven’t been able to give this one a proper go. Although I did spot them when I visited the Too Faced Carnaby store, and Almond was a much better match for me.
A product I couldn’t resist to purchase as soon as I spotted it, is the Elizabeth Arden FourEver Glow Highlighting Palette, which has a gorgeous summery pink compact with a delicate cherry blossom design embellishing the lid. Inside are four different shades created to enhance and illuminate the skin. Personally I think the shades are too dark for me to use as a highlighter, and I don’t find them to be overly pigmented, but it’s a nice one to use to give the skin a lovely soft glow.
Lastly I wanted to share this lovely set from a brand called Yope, which I’d not heard of before but I’m excited to have found. They kindly sent over a pretty package featuring the Ginger & Sandalwood Liquid Soap* and the Tea & Peppermint Hand Cream*. All of their products contain natural ingredients and are kind and gentle to the skin. I think the pretty pink packaging with the cute illustrated design is so cute and unique, and will definitely add a little dash of fun to my bathroom cabinet.
