Ohhh Marie; daughter of Duchess and the cutest, sassiest little kitten in all of Paris! I’ve been meaning to expand on my Disney cupcakes for a while, (take a look at my Cinderella set, as well as my Beauty & The Beast set) and I was so excited to finally create some fancy cupcakes based on The Aristocats’ Marie. I loved them so much I couldn’t wait to share them on here and I thought I’d create a tutorial so you can make them too! These Marie cupcake toppers are surprisingly easy to create, so definitely give them a go if you are also heart eyed over Marie’s pink prettiness.
Follow These Quick & Easy Steps:
♥ I used a cookie cutter that I got from Etsy here.
♥ Cut out a set in white fondant and also a duplicate in pink fondant.
♥ From the pink Marie set carefully cut out the ears and bows.
♥ Simply add the pink ears and bows to the white Marie & add a little ball of pink for the nose.
♥ For the opened eyed Marie add two circles of black fondant to the eye sockets & a smaller white piece on top.
♥ You can of course leave them here, but if you fancy going an extra step you can cut out pink toppers to go underneath your Marie. I went for a lined design for a plush effect.
♥ Wait for the toppers to harden and then place them on top of your finished cupcakes. Easy peasy!
I paired mine with some cute pink ribbons on fancy quilted toppers, which I felt matched purrrfectly. What do you think? Let me know if you do try these out as I would love to see your creations, feel free to tag me over on my cake Instagram here!
