Hello
Pretty Princesses
I hope you’re all having a magical summer so far in the sunshine! I know I’ve been a little quiet on here and on my social channels this year as I ended up taking a little unexpected break. Blogging has always been a passion of mine but after six years of constant content creating I realised I was burning the candle at both ends trying to fit in everything else in my life too. I just wanted to say thank you to those that always read this space, comment on my social media and leave me lovely messages, especially whilst I wasn’t posting. I really do appreciate each and every one of you and I love sharing all of the girly pink content with you!
The beauty of taking a small step back has meant that I now feel refreshed and ready to start creating beautiful content again, and I have lots of new ideas to get excited about! I thought I’d put together a new pink diary post with some of the things I’ve been up to lately that have been lovely.
I visited the darling new Peggy Porschen cake parlour for the first time, which was all I could’ve wished for and more, full of beautiful pink decor and fancy treats. I won’t harp on about it too much as I have a full blog post here if you’d like to read it. After I’d shared my post, Peggy herself reached out to me to say that she was delighted with my blog post which I was so so touched about. She also said that my photos are always beautiful and perfectly reflect the dreaminess of the parlour and I just think that there’s nothing nicer than a brand (especially the brand owner themselves!) recognising your work and letting you know they love it, even more so when they are an idol of yours.
I spotted this whimsical Jo Malone dolls~house which took up residence in the centre of Covent Garden and looks like a replica of the brand’s luxurious London townhouse. I had to snap a pretty picture, their marketing campaigns are always so beautiful! I always love spending time in London, coming across market stalls and florists with an abundance of beautiful blooms gracing the storefronts, as well as the pretty soft green Ladurée cafés with adorable parisian treats sat in the windows.
I also popped into the Olivia Burton boutique in Covent Garden which was so cute. I adore their beautiful floral watches as well as their dainty vintage bow jewellery range and I own quite a few pieces myself which you can see in this post. The store had a blush pink, soft grey and white colour scheme with hexagonal wall fittings, pretty pink vanity drawers and luxe glass cabinets displaying their pretty products. Outside was a large floral bunny gracing the entrance to the store which looked so sweet!
I passed the prettiest pink house in Notting Hill which looked like an actual dream and truly fit for a princess! I’m totally heart eyed over the cotton candy shade of pink with the white accents, it looks like something out of a Wes Anderson movie.
A little peek inside one of the drawers of my parisian dressing table, there’s something so satisfying about seeing it look so pretty, pink and neatly organised. Isn’t Too Faced packaging always so adorable! I recently purchased their new Damn Girl mascara which has the prettiest metallic pink packaging and I’ve added their new cute Hangover collection to my wishlist including the Good To Go moisturiser, Good In Bed serum and Major Hangover primer.
One of my favourite bakes recently has been this cute pink bunny cake with fancy white ribbons and dainty flowers. I modelled the bunny after the birthday girlie’s favourite Jellycat bunny which is a soft grey with long lop ears and a ditsy floral print on the inside. I was a little unsure to begin with how I would translate the floral print but I decided to hand paint it and I really love the effect!
I’ve been giving my blog a little spruce up over the past month or so, I added some new graphics to my homepage that I’m absolutely in love with, including the cutest little Dior teddy bear illustration and pretty pink designer items, they match my style so perfectly! I’ve also revamped my pages including my About section if you fancy taking a peek.

Loves
Beauty Item: The Hourglass Scattered Light Eyeshadow in the shade Reflect which I recently purchased on a whim and have fallen totally in love with. It’s a beautiful rose golden shade with a cream to powder formula, and it’s so glittery and foil-like whilst being lightweight and long lasting. I now want to collect them all as they have lots of other lovely shades, Aura being next on my wishlist.
In My Wardrobe: After lusting after it for a while I finally purchased this beautiful French Connection White Broderie Dress in the sale, it’s so pretty and perfect for Summer.
Home Decor: I bought a lovely new Parisian style coffee table for the living room, as well as a fluffy ivory rug to match it both from Dunelm which I love for affordable homeware. I also purchased a beautiful soft pink ottoman for my closet/beauty room which I’ve dressed up with a fluffy white cushion and it’s added such a luxe vibe to the space!
Last Purchase: The Dior Dreamskin 1 Minute Mask which sounded so angelic I needed to try it!
Song: Boy & Bear ~ Pogo. I always adore Pogo’s Disney remixes, they’re so creative and totally capture that essence of Disney magic.
YouTube: I’ve been catching up on one of my favourite channels; SLMissGlam and SLMissGlam Vlogs. Stephanie’s videos are always so pink and pretty and her twin girly’s Mia and Sophia are the cutest!
Film: I watched Toy Story 4 at the cinema and was so pleased that they brought back the character of Bo Peep. I loved her sassy personality and I thought her costume was so cute, it was so ingenious how her skirt flipped over to make a cape, giving her look a modern twist. I hope she gets a bigger role in Toy Story Land at Hollywood Studios!
Sweet Treat: A slice of summery Berry & Elderfleur cake from Peggy Porschen.
Recipe: Edible Flower Popsicles ~ a lovely idea for a refreshing summer treat.
Heart Eyed Over: The Needle & Thread Fallen For You bridal collection, which is full of elegant ruffles, embellished petals and the sweetest tulle bow veils. So dreamy.
Dreaming Of: A Marie Aristocats charm collection with Pandora jewellery, how cute would it be!
Looking Forward To: Baking this year’s first wedding cake with flavours of zesty lemon sponge and raspberry buttercream, and another tier of decadent chocolate sponge with silky white chocolate buttercream.
