‘Autumn seemed to arrive early that year. The morning of the first September was crisp and golden as an apple.’ ~ J. K. Rowling
Hello cinnamon buns, it’s officially Autumn! I’ve been so looking forward to the Fall this year, there really is a certain glow and charm about this season that you just don’t get any other time of year. I love the beautiful golden colours of fallen leaves, and fresh autumn walks in the crisp morning air. I also love nothing more that getting cosy under a fluffy blanket, wearing soft new pyjamas, lighting a seasonal candle and relaxing with a Netflix series or discovering a new favourite book. I find it so comforting to hear the patter of rainfall at your windowsill whilst being bundled up inside all toasty and warm! I so loved creating an Autumnal post last year full of my girly essentials for Autumn, so I thought I’d create a princessy pink bucket list this year full of enchanting ideas to fill your season with magic!
~Create some magic with your autumnal decor and paint your pumpkins. Last year I painted mine shades of pretty pink and sprinkled them with teeny stars for a spellbinding effect. Try a powder blue with silver glitter and lace ribbons for a darling Cinderella theme, or carve cute phrases into them like ‘boo‘ ‘witch please‘ or a classy Chanel logo.
~Bring out your wintery accessories and dress up a stylish trench coat with a pink plaid scarf and adorable Ugg boots adorned with satin bows, I bought the Gita pair last year and they are so cute and cosy! I’m in love with this pink check blanket scarf and these chic pink fleece bow gloves.
~Bake some warming desserts for an autumnal treat. Go apple picking and bake a hearty apple pie or a fruit crumble. I love when the scent of a warm cinnamon and apple crumble fills my kitchen!
~Get cosy with a pink cashmere sweater and cosy cable knit socks and have a spooky movie night. Watch 90’s classics like Hocus Pocus and The Craft, or have a Harry Potter marathon which always makes me feel cosy and autumnal. Sprinkle some cinnamon over your popcorn for a sweet seasonal touch.
~Go to an enchanting firework display on bonfire night and watch the lights twinkle in the sky. Bring heart shaped sparklers and toast marshmallows around the bonfire.
~Make candy apples by dipping them into melted chocolate and add sprinkles or mini marshmallows. Tie ribbons around the sticks for a super cute effect.
~Have a duvet day and binge watch a new TV series. For cosy feels choose One Tree Hill, The Vampire Diaries, Gossip Girl, or Gilmore Girls. For a spooky vibe choose The Haunting Of Hill House, American Horror Story, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Bates Motel or Scream Queens. I always find myself rewatching my childhood favourites Charmed and Buffy The Vampire Slayer around this time of year!
~Read up on dreamology during witching hour and enlighten yourself about the meaning of your dreams, or buy a deck of tarot cards and get in touch with your inner wisdom. The Work Your Light Oracle Cards by Rebecca Campbell have the most magical pastel artwork on them!
~Brew yourself a batch of moon milk for bedtime to send you off into a dream filled slumber. Moon milk is essentially warm milk mixed with relaxing spices and sweet flavours to help you induce sleep. Try cinnamon and vanilla, or a calming rose and honey. Take a peek at my recipe post for Pink Rose & Vanilla Moon Milk, the perfect dreamy drink for sleeping beauties!
