Like A Magical Spell Cast By Fallen Snow…

Introducing to you a truly special advent calendar for 2019 from the oh so darling beauty brand; Paul & Joe*. Packaged like a snowy blue winter’s dream and filled with a selection of wondrous beauty treats, it’s by far their biggest and most luxurious calendar to date! It’s an utter delight to open a door a day in the run up to Christmas, making for a magical holiday season!

The box’s design of glistening blue snowflakes with blossoming chrysanthemums and sweet little wandering cats, is just so stunning! As a fan of the brand already I was super excited to see what was inside and it’s no doubt one of the best advent calendars I’ve ever had, you really do get quality for your money.

Behind each gold scripted door is one of 24 delights, containing both full size and miniature beauty products that are packaged to perfection. There is range of different designs from soft and delicate snowy blues, to little kittens and dreaming swans, as well as a few fun and whimsical products. There really is something for everyone but yet it all still seems to work beautifully together. The pale blue and wintery white design has a shimmery shift to it that really needs to be seen in real life to truly appreciate it’s beauty!

If you are new to the brand, then they do offer their makeup cases separately to some of their products. It’s a great idea if you like to mix and match your packaging (especially when they release gorgeous limited edition designs!), but also makes it more affordable to repurchase just the refill when you run out of your favourite product. Two of my absolute favourite items in the calendar are the gorgeous snowy blue compact and lipstick case which look so pretty and delicate.

I’ve always thought that the cat design of the Paul & Joe lipsticks is so charming and unique, so I was delighted to find a glistening pearl cat lipstick, which is perfect for bringing a snow like sparkle to your makeup look. The delicate florals on the gold tube add that extra touch of prettiness and it looks so lovely in the soft blue lipstick case.

Also inside is the most darling lip gloss I’ve ever set eyes upon, with a beautiful dreaming swan illustration on the front, complete with a sweet little ridged blue cap. You’ll also find bottles of The Oil, Cooling Lotion and Herbal Lotion, which all have a gorgeous high end French skincare scent. I love how even the miniature bottles have all the same exquisite detailing as the full size bottles, which make them truly special.

No Paul & Joe advent calendar would be complete without some adorable kittens! The cream eye colour, which is a lovely shimmery bronze, and the nail oil both have the sweetest packaging with pretty vintage blossoms and cute little cats. Puurrfect!

Packaged in a cute little tin with whimsical bees and entwined with coral blossoms, is the lip treatment balm which has a lovely fresh scent mixed with sweet honey. The floral lipstick case is encased in a beautiful rose design, like something you’d find in Sleeping Beauty’s princess castle! Adding a touch of festive charm is another cat lipstick in the truest shade of Christmas red, and a matching red nail polish. Perfect for feminine lips and nails that will stand out against the snow.

You’ll also find two refill products that slot into either of the compacts included. The blusher contains a pretty coral pink and a pale peach for delicate flushed cheeks like you’ve spent a winter’s afternoon out in the snow. The eyeshadow duo has a soft shimmering bronze paired with an enchanting mauve, perfect for a little sparkle during the festive season.
