a nutcracker wonderland
Waltz into a glittering world of magical nutcracker enchantment this festive season, at the Peggy Porschen parlour in Belgravia. I’ve always thought that The Nutcracker Ballet would be the absolute perfect theme for Peggy Porschen at Christmas time, so I was delighted to see the vision finally come to life! Upon my visit, the sugary pink café had been transformed into a decadent Land of Sweets. Lavishly dressed with marching pink nutcrackers, fanciful candy canes, and all of the pretty twinkling lights.

land of sweets
The famous pink parlour arches were trimmed with pastel candy canes, enchanting gingerbread men, sparkling pink stars and pretty winter blooms. Guarding the doorway was a royal pair of pink marching nutcrackers complete with fancy diamanté embellishments. The perfect entrance into Peggy’s fanciful Land of Sweets.
a festive fairytale
Dressing the windows were frosted winter white Christmas trees, hung with an assortment of glittering ornaments from sweets and candies, to ballet slippers and snowflakes. Every little detail in the Land of Sweets display had been dreamt into pure perfection! It makes for the most magical setting for whimsical festive treats.
sugar plum dreams
The prima ballerina of Peggy’s seasonal winter menu has to be the Sugar Plum Fairy cupcake! It’s just the most fanciful little cupcake in all the land, and it tasted like a true delight. The spiced buttermilk sponge had a filling of delicious plum jam, topped with a twirl of pink plum meringue buttercream, adorned with shimmering pastel snowflakes and a pair of dainty pink sugar ballerina slippers. A princess dream!
candy cane wishes
Returning to the menu this season is the dreamy Baileys and Chocolate cake. It has a lovely warming festive flavour of Irish cream liqueur and indulgent chocolate, iced with pretty stripes and topped with pink chocolate pearls and sugar snowflakes. In true Peggy Porschen style the hot chocolates were dusted with cute cocoa shapes. Ours were presented with a ribbon tied candy cane and a winter snowflake, which added the prettiest touch.
jolly gingerbread
New to Peggy’s gift shop are a pair of sweet baking kits for jolly gingerbread cupcakes or cookies. Ideal for a fun Christmas activity, they come with pre-measured dry ingredients for a luxurious home bake. The kits also make a perfect gift to someone who missed out on their parlour visit this year. I can’t wait to try mine, the pink postal boxes are so pretty.
I had a magical time visiting the Peggy Porschen parlour this December! If you can I would highly recommend popping in for a cosy warm drink, and a show stopping sugar plum fairy cupcake. If you’d prefer to take a treat home instead, they are also offering takeaways. The paper coffee cups look oh so cute as you can imagine!
Wishing you the sweetest festive season!
